If you’re looking for a fun weekend activity, try disc golf. Easy to learn, this unique sport is perfect for people of all athletic abilities. All you need to do is watch an instructional video and buy a few discs. Then, you’re good to go. Fortunately, residents of our Fells Point apartments live by some of the best disc golf courses in Baltimore. They include:

Druid Hill

Disc golfers from all over the city flock to Druid Hill Park, Baltimore’s first large municipal park. In addition to three great disc golf courses, it also has tennis and basketball courts, greenway trails, and even a reservoir. Druid Hill Park is also home to the Maryland Zoo

Lake Montebello

Just four miles farther, you’ll find Lake Montebello. It has an 18-hole course on the north side of the park, as well as a six-hole course for beginners on the park’s south side. Plus, Lake Montebello sits adjacent to Herring Run Park, which is great for fishing and birding.

Rockburn Branch Park

If you drive less than 30 minutes southwest of Baltimore, you’ll find Rockburn Branch Park in Elkridge. Although the 18-hole disc golf course is challenging, the Professional Disc Golf Association considers it one of the best in the state. The park also has tennis and basketball courts, multipurpose fields, and nine miles of trails.
