The Baltimore Department of Recreation and Parks offers a robust virtual recreation program with many classes to choose from. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing activity or for something to get your body moving, they offer something for everyone. The best virtual classes you can take from our apartments in Baltimore include: 

1. Arts & Crafts

You can join BDRP for a fantastic weekly art class on Thursdays at 11:00 AM. The series starts on June 24th, and you can register for the class through BDRP’s website. Registration opens on May 1st.

2. Friday Fun Day

Every Friday morning, BDRP also hosts virtual community gatherings. During each session, participants play various group games, like bingo, Pictionary, trivia, and more. You can register online for this fun, social event.

3. Hip Hop Aerobics

Try a brand new type of fitness with Hip Hop Aerobics. This virtual class promises to get your heart pumping and your body moving. In fact, the instructors really just have one main goal: they want you to leave the class with a smile on your face. You can register online to get the log-in instructions. They host the class weekly on Wednesday mornings at 9:00 AM.

4. Music Therapy

Led by a board-certified music therapist, this virtual music therapy class will allow you to connect with others in the community through creative therapy experiences. BDRP hosts the class every Monday at 9:30 AM. You can sign up in advance by registering online.

5. Yoga

This virtual yoga class will help beginner and experienced yogis alike with stretching, breathing, and increasing flexibility. If you find the class challenging, you can even adapt the instructor’s techniques for an easier version of “chair yoga.” You can join this great exercise class every Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. Register online to receive the log-in instructions ahead of time.
