The Best Margaritas around Baltimore

A blue margarita with a lime wedge and salt on the rim.

With the combination of sweet, salty, and sour, it’s no wonder margaritas are one of the most popular drinks around. Americans consume 185,000 an hour, making them the most popular cocktail in the United States.

If you would like to enjoy a margarita, head to one of these restaurants near our Fells Point apartments. Bartenders create everything from classic recipes to one-of-a-kind creations.

Barcocina: 4-minute drive

With Mexican-inspired cuisine, impressive drinks, and picturesque harbor views, Barcocina always draws a crowd. The restaurant is one of Baltimore’s newest hot spots, and it’s often open late. Executive Chef Mark Dixon prepares dishes that are meant to be shared. He offers a twist on the classics and uses global cooking techniques. For dinner, enjoy the cheeseburger tacos with the spiced orange margaritas.

Nacho Mama’s: 7-minute drive

When an Irishman decided to open a Mexican restaurant, he opened Nacho Mama’s. It’s known as the place where “East Baltimore Meets Mexico,” and is a hot spot for affordable Tex-Mex cuisine. The setting is bright and festive with twinkling lights and old pictures of Elvis. Mondays and Tuesdays bring the ever-popular Fajita Day. Order two fajitas and enjoy a pitcher of the house margarita for free.

La Calle: 8-minute drive

La Calle brings a taste of northern Mexico to Baltimore. The restaurant is the lifelong dream of Chef Valentino Sandoval. He started as a dishwasher in Philadelphia and honed his cooking skills alongside the city’s best chef. Valentino moved to Maryland in 2016 and uses local ingredients to prepare time-honored Mexican recipes. Visitors can watch him work in the open kitchen. Try the pork shank carnitas with the classic margaritas.
