If you want to get in touch with your artistic side, we’ve got you covered. The Eden is centrally located near local businesses that offer the best creative classes in Baltimore. So whether you want to make unique flower arrangements, handmade journals, or ornate clay bowls, you can do it all. Read on to explore three of the coolest classes near our apartments in Baltimore:
Local Color Flowers
With a commitment to supporting the Baltimore community, Local Color Flowers sources its blooms from family farms and gardens within 100 miles of the shop. While you’re welcome to purchase the store’s beautiful arrangements, you can also learn how to design them yourself. That’s because the shop offers a wide range of classes in floral design. During these sessions, you’ll learn to create wreaths, centerpieces, and more. You can also drop in on Wednesdays between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. to make custom floral arrangements.
Drama MaMa Bookshop
Alisa Brock states that writing has been a part of her life for as long as she can remember. Her mother taught her the art of journaling at a young age, and it stuck with her ever since. Today, Alisa owns the Drama MaMa Bookshop, where she helps others put their stories on paper. She’s currently offering her “Wine & Bind” workshops over Zoom. In these virtual classes, you’ll create a bullet journal while learning writing skills that will last a lifetime.
At Baltimore Clayworks, you’ll find community classes for budding artists of all abilities. While the instructors have years of experience and are well-known both locally and nationally, the staff is also extremely down-to-earth. In fact, these clay experts love nothing more than helping students develop their own skills. Try the “Basic Wheel” classes. Perfect for beginners, this course teaches students how to create simple forms, like bowls, cups, and plates.
Now that you know all about our favorite creative classes in Baltimore, it’s time to check them out for yourself.
