The area around ourĀ Fells Point apartments is a vibrant arts community filled with museums and galleries. If you’re interested in exploring virtual art events in Baltimore, we have the perfect list for you.

1. CCCM’s Local Craft Show

Charm City Craft Mafia is a collective of eight independent craft business owners. They organize and host two craft shows annually: “Pile of Craft” and “Holiday Heap.” On April 24th, “Pile of Craft 2021” will virtually host a number of vendors online. Visit CCCM’s website to see the full list of participating vendors.

2. AVAM’s Kinetic Sculpture Race

Every year, the American Visionary Art Museum hosts its annual “Kinetic Sculpture Race.” Thankfully, this year, you can catch the race from the comfort of home. That’s because they’re hosting it virtually online. You can tune in on Saturday, May 1st to watch the race. During the event, you’ll be able to watch incredible 3D sculptures race in competition through land, sea, mud, and sand obstacles. Be sure to RSVP to receive the details for online viewing.

3. The Maryland Film Festival

Named one of MovieMaker Magazine‘s “25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World,” the Maryland Film Festival is an unforgettable event. Now in its 23rd year, the festival is back and bigger than ever. Supporters know that MdFF offers the best in emerging, independent film, so it’s particularly exciting that, this year, you can watch all of the films and Q&As virtually from May 19th to May 27th. At MdFF, you can expect a variety of movies, including feature-length films, shorts, documentaries, and foreign-language films. If you’re interested in attending virtually, the festival offers three different types of passes. When you start with the “Exposure Pass,” you can access tickets to ten virtual screenings of your choice.

If you’re looking for something to do over the next few months, be sure to check out these art events in Baltimore. You can also stream live concerts from home.
