3 Local Restaurants with Fireside Dining

A burning fireplace

With the cooler temperatures of the fall season, there’s nothing more relaxing than fireside dining. Next time you’re looking for a new dinner spot, visit one of these restaurants with fireside dining near our Fells Point apartments:

Woodbury Kitchen

Just a 13-minute drive from The Eden, Woodbury Kitchen welcomes you to enjoy the seasonal flavors of the Chesapeake Bay. Visitors gather around the outdoor fire pits while enjoying picturesque street scenes. The restaurant stands in a restored flour mill from the 1850s and serves dishes such as cast iron chicken and biscuits, Tilghman Island crab cakes, and Autumn olive Farm pork chops.

Rye Street Tavern

Rye Street Tavern, located 14 minutes from our community, pays tribute to the city’s industrial era when locals gathered to share stories over great food. Visitors enjoy stunning views of the Patapsco River, and a mounted bison head overlooks the roaring fireplace. In the kitchen, Chef Andrew Carmellini prepares the dishes using locally grown ingredients and farm-raised meats. He’s best known for blending culinary culture with urban social dining. Offerings include pan-roasted cod, wood-fired quail, and fried chicken (house specialty).

The Oregon Grille

Nestled in the heart of Maryland’s horse country, The Oregon Grille proudly offers American cuisine in a 19th-century farmhouse just 24 minutes from The Eden. The cozy atmosphere provides the perfect winter escape. It features mahogany walls, dark leather boots, and four fireplaces that enhance the warm setting. Baltimore Magazine calls the restaurant a horse country mainstay, while Wine Advocate states it offers “an extraordinary drinking and eating experience.” Menu offerings include surf & turf, oven-roasted salmon, and Colorado lamb rack.
