St. Sunshine’s Day

March 19th, 2010 by admin

Okay, the fog of St. Patrick’s Day should be lifted by now. JUST in time for the first really epic weekend (weather) of the year…unless you’re an Inuit and loved the 30-inch snowfall. THIS is the weekend that precipitates the official arrival of Spring Fever (because, after all, it could be, like, 38 and rainy next Tuesday or Wednesday – it’s only March, after all). So, you’ve read this here before, and you’ll like read it again…drag your behind out of your house and slather on some SPF and hit the streets! And do it early, so you can maximize the WHOLE of our 70-degree Saturday & Sunday. Instead of thinking what you’d like to do (see Stomp at the Hippodrome, hit the Zoo, browse through some of the cultural shops that adorn our streets), why don’t you just start wandering!

Go west, young (wo)man! Then north, then east, then south. If you play it just right, you might even find your way back home by sunset. If not, be strong, party on and enjoy the cuisine, the live music, the wine bars…you get the picture, right? You can’t get this weekend wrong! Unless you boob-tube it and watch Bonanza re-runs on the Old Westerns Channel. When it’s all said and done, drop a line and let us know what fun you churned up. Oh, and watch this space next week for a really, really cool “announcement” of a really, really cool nightlife thing we’re sworn to secrecy not to tell you about this week. Enjoy your city!
